I've been experimenting a bit today with Amazon's new Online Reader (so called). Works pretty good. After "upgrading" my rights to this book to allow full-text access, I was able to copy and paste the quote below -- the software even added the citation (though not the link).
The product page for this book informs me: "You purchased this item on October 14, 2000" -- with a very different purpose in mind back then, I can assure you.
We must ultimately assume at the highest theoretical levels of enlightened management theory, a preference or a tendency to identify with more and more of the world, moving toward the ultimate of mysticism, a fusion with the world, or peak experience, cosmic consciousness, etc.
Much more recently I discovered that Maslow's primary mentor, Edward L. Thorndike was also one of America's most prominent "scientific" race theorists. I continue to marvel at how often mysticism associated itself with eugenics in the 20th century.
